The light that I have seen

Gently holds me

Aloft two feet off the ground

Just high enough to embrace the sun

The light that I have seen

Lies quietly beside me

Protecting me from the wind

While fanning a zephyr in my soul

The light that I have seen

Peacefully strides with me

Silent and alert to my way

Forever preparing an angel’s landing

The light that I have seen

Crests over me

Like a wave taking me out to sea

Delivering me to your shore

The light that I have seen

Knows me

My oldest friend in history

And the deepest respect of all

The light that I have seen

Glows in me

Source seeing through my eyes

And being with my breath

The light that I have seen

Is me

My spirit in living motion
