Once we accept that life may exist in even the smallest particles of matter, we must also accept that the whole of the planet is alive.
Hylozoism is the theory that everything lives, and does not stop at the atom; nor does it stop at Man. It proposes that atoms live within greater forms than themselves. Some atoms live within the body of a molecule, which is living. Living molecules sometimes form part of the body of a greater being which is the tissue cell or unicellular organism. Many cells come together to form greater structures like Man himself. Each entity, no matter how large or how small is alive and lives within the body of a greater being somewhere along the scale of evolution.
